What Is the Shattered Community?

The Shattered Community is a post-Moon Lord accessory in the Calamity Mod — the upgraded, corrupted form of The Community. Where The Community gives you scaling all-round stats, the Shattered Community locks those bonuses in at full strength and completely reworks Rage Mode around itself. It's widely considered a straight upgrade and one of the best all-purpose accessories in the endgame.

How to Get It

• Normal worlds: the Shattered Community is created by exhuming The Community — Calamity's post-Moon Lord transformation mechanic for select items. You first need The Community (dropped by Leviathan and Anahita), then exhume it once you've reached the endgame tier.
• getfixedboi worlds: it drops directly from The Old Duke at a 100% rate, skipping the exhume route entirely.

If a recipe doesn't appear for you in-game, check it with the Recipe Browser mod — exhume-style conversions are easy to miss in the vanilla crafting UI.

Full Stat Breakdown

Equipped, the Shattered Community grants all of the following, all the time:

• +10% damage
• +5% critical strike chance
• +10% maximum health
• +5% damage reduction
• +10 defense
• +1 HP/s life regen
• +10% movement speed
• +20% flight time

The Rage Mode Rework

The real reason to wear it: it changes how the Rage meter behaves entirely.

• Rage persists outside of combat instead of draining
• The meter generates passively at 2 units per second
• Taking damage grants Rage, so aggressive play charges it faster
• Rage Mode's active duration is doubled
• Damage you deal during Rage Mode makes the buff itself stronger over time (that's the leveling mechanic below)

Leveling It to 25

The Shattered Community gains experience from damage dealt while Rage Mode is active:

• Each level adds +1% Rage Mode damage
• Maximum level is 25
• Reaching level 25 takes roughly 130 million total damage dealt during Rage

Practical leveling tips:

• Make popping Rage a habit in every boss fight from the moment you craft it — the XP adds up across your normal progression, and most players hit high levels naturally by Supreme Calamitas
• To grind deliberately, re-fight high-health endgame bosses (Providence, Devourer of Gods) with your highest-DPS loadout and keep Rage active as much as possible
• Damage only counts during Rage Mode — passive meter buildup does nothing for XP on its own

Is It Worth an Accessory Slot?

Yes, almost always. Unlike The Community — which scales with boss kills but carries restrictions — the Shattered Community's bonuses are unconditional, and the Rage rework alone changes how you play every remaining fight. For any Rage-using build in post-Moon Lord Calamity, it's a default pick; pair it with the extra slot from the Celestial Onion so it doesn't cost you a damage accessory.
