Magic Storage Mod Overview

Overview

Magic Storage replaces Terraria's chest-based storage with a centralized, searchable storage system. Instead of opening dozens of chests to find items, you access everything from one crafting interface. It's considered essential for any modded playthrough.

With content mods adding thousands of items, traditional chest storage becomes unmanageable. Magic Storage solves this completely.

How It Works

The system consists of connected components:

• Storage Heart — the core block, placed once. This is where you access your items
• Storage Units — hold items. Connect them adjacent to the Heart or to each other
• Storage Access — additional access points (place anywhere connected to the network)
• Crafting Interface — access point that also shows available recipes from stored materials
• Remote Access — wireless access from anywhere in the world (endgame upgrade)

Setting Up Your First System

• Craft a Storage Heart (requires wood, iron, diamond gems)
• Craft several Storage Units and place them touching the Heart
• Right-click the Heart to open your unified storage
• Craft a Crafting Interface for recipe browsing
• Place Storage Access blocks in your workshop areas for convenience

Start building this early — even a basic system with 5-10 storage units handles early game fine.

Upgrades

• Demonite/Crimtane Storage Units — more capacity
• Hellstone Storage Units — even more capacity
• Hallowed, then Luminite — endgame capacity
• Environmental Access — portable wireless access
• Radiant upgrades — highest tier storage units

Each tier increases the number of item stacks a single unit can hold.

Tips

• Place the Crafting Interface near your crafting stations for maximum recipe detection
• Use the search bar to find items instantly
• Items sort automatically — no manual organization needed
• The system works across all connected storage units as one pool

Installation

Search 'Magic Storage' in tModLoader Workshop. Works with every content mod. Install it first — you'll want it from the start of your playthrough.
